Eastern District of Missouri courts to close January 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri will close their Chambers, Clerk’s Office, Probation, and Pretrial Services on Monday, January 19. The closure is in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday.

Despite the closure of physical offices, electronic systems such as CM/ECF, PACER, and E-Juror will remain available for use.

“All electronic systems will be in operation including CM/ECF, PACER, and E-Juror,” according to the court’s announcement.

Nathaniel Rod Gibson received a sentence of over fourteen years for grooming and illegal sexual contact with a minor after pleading guilty earlier this year. The case involved cross-state travel from Missouri to Arkansas as well as thousands of text messages sent during several months.
