Anthony A. Moore, a 49-year-old man from Jefferson County, Missouri, pleaded guilty on March 19 in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of receipt of child pornography after admitting to engaging in sex acts with a minor.

Moore admitted that the offenses took place in 2023 and 2024, beginning when the victim was 13 years old and he was 46. The case came to light when the victim’s father discovered communications between Moore and his daughter on her cell phone, including requests from Moore for nude photos. Investigators also found images of the victim on Moore’s phone.

Both prosecution and defense have agreed to recommend a sentence of 20 years in prison at Moore’s sentencing scheduled for June 24.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Jillian Anderson prosecuted it.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating federal, state, and local resources to prosecute offenders and rescue victims.
