A Missouri man was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for transporting a minor across state lines for prostitution, according to an announcement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.

JoeMarius Green, 25, received a sentence of 152 months in federal prison and will be subject to lifetime supervised release following his incarceration. In January, Green pleaded guilty to one felony count related to taking a minor from Dallas to Kansas City on February 12, 2023, with the intent that she engage in prostitution during the Super Bowl. He then transported her and others to a hotel in the St. Louis area for similar purposes.

Green admitted managing online advertisements for prostitution, arranging hotel accommodations, setting prices for sex acts, and collecting all cash proceeds from the victim’s activities.

Chantel Robinson, 21, was also charged in connection with the case and received a sentence of 41 months in prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography. Robinson admitted engaging in commercial sex acts herself as well as producing sexually explicit images of minors and posting them online. She also supervised prostitution activities involving minors when Green was not present.

The investigation was conducted by the St. Louis County Police Department and the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Edwards prosecuted the case.

“This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice,” stated officials from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. “Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Department of Justice Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.” Additional information about Project Safe Childhood is available at www.justice.gov/psc.
