Andrew Raymond Crum, a 33-year-old man from Toledo, Ohio, pleaded guilty on March 20 in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one count of coercion or enticement of a minor.

Crum admitted meeting the victim, a Missouri girl who was 14 at the time, through social media in 2021. He began traveling to Missouri in February 2024 to engage in sexual acts with her when she was 16. Authorities said that Crum also exchanged sexually explicit images and videos with the victim using Snapchat under the name “Sassy Man.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation became aware of Crum’s plans to return to Missouri in October 2024 and subsequently contacted both the victim and her mother. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Edwards prosecuted the case.

Crum is scheduled for sentencing on June 29. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in prison.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating federal, state, and local resources.
