U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey sentenced Jordin White, a 24-year-old from St. Louis, to 97 months in prison for possessing firearms and drugs. The sentencing took place on Tuesday.
White was apprehended on April 29, 2024, by detectives from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department Anti-Crime Task Force. He was found in a stolen Chrysler 300 with a firearm magazine visible in his shorts pocket. Officers discovered a .45-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun on him and an AR-style pistol loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition in the car. Additional items found included more ammunition, cash, a scale, and capsules containing fentanyl and cocaine base.
On June 5, 2024, White was seen conducting transactions from an Audi A4 in a parking lot. After evading police spike strips, he lost control of the vehicle and fled on foot with a Glock handgun featuring a large-capacity drum magazine loaded with 32 rounds of ammunition. Officers also recovered six baggies containing marijuana.
In March, White pleaded guilty to three felony counts: possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
The case was investigated by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney J. Christian Goeke.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaboration between law enforcement and communities.
